The Doctoral Teaching Fellowship
Every successful recipient shall serve as a Doctoral Teaching Fellow of the University for the duration of the award.
Doctoral Teaching Fellows are integrated into the academic life of the University and serve under the mentorship and supervision of senior faculty members. This requirement is an essential part of the scholarship’s formation model, designed to prepare scholars for academic careers marked by teaching competence, research discipline, professional maturity and institutional responsibility.

Service that returns to the University
In recognition of the investment being made in each scholar, every recipient shall be bonded to serve the University of Gold Coast for a minimum period of five years following successful completion of the PhD programme. This service may be in teaching, research, supervision, academic leadership, programme development or institutional administration, subject to institutional needs and University policies.
The service bond ensures that the benefits of the scholarship contribute directly to the long-term academic growth, research culture and institutional development of the University of Gold Coast.
